Stacy schiff rhetorical précis
In Stacy schiff'S opinional article "Anger: An American History" (December18,2015), she portrays that "rabid xenophobia" doesn't really exist in the United States. The author first proposes the main question by quoting another authors opinion; then she compares the U.S now to that of before with historical allusions; and to conclude she justifies her opinion by utalizing irony. Her purpose is to speak out on immigration in order to demonstrate that America is not afraid of immigrants because so many of them are constantly coming in through the boarders. Schiff seems to have a political savvy audience in mind because she speaks out on current immigration issues.
